Marsannay Blanc

Marsannay Blanc , 2,6809 ha , comes from various plots on the Marsannay slope, above les Longeroies, les Étalles, les Vaudenelles and les Roseys.

It is a blend of 80 % chardonnay and 20% pinot blanc. Purposely planted on poor soil, very fine clay, called " rabbit grounds ", the chardonnay gives fruity aromas whereas the pinot blanc brings roundness and meatiness.
